“Emancipation” conveys an almost giddy delight. The bright orange color hints at the possibility of flying too close to the sun. With sudden freedom comes the challenge of not over-reacting. Freedom or emancipation should never be limited, but how far to take our freedom is always up to us. Are we crazy happy or, maybe, just crazy?

The stainless steel looks light and airy. Ron Gard adds a concrete base that seems to offer a launching pad. He paints the steel to add more reflection and suggest an even lighter, nearly delicate, dance of delight in newly found freedom. Emancipation is clearly joyful.
