“Assume” is an abstract, but symbolic sculpture that invokes conversation on a number of topics.
Joey Manson uses steel, concrete and vibrant blue to reference disability, relationships, and motion. He uses these industrial materials to help the viewer understand and relate to the sculpture.
“Assume” is not only an exploration for the artist but is intended to be an exploration for the viewer as well. It invites the audience to investigate different social and environmental constructs.
