Midwestern values take shape in the work by Nathan Pierce. Raised by a true craftsman, Pierce appreciates the precision necessary to work with structural steel. He makes it look easy to craft architectural details while still conveying a message.

“Long Way Home” continues his conversation on how we communicate. Through the design of radiating spokes, we are almost looking for the cellular waves to come bouncing out. Do we really convey a message, or the message intended, when we use the numerous devices at the tips of our fingers? It would be wonderful to sit in on a conversation between Marshall McLuhan and Nathan Pierce.
