Fisher Stolz often showcases the contrasting features of hard edges with seemingly fluid curves and varying textures in the same sculpture. The central idea of his sculptures is found in the tension and balance between the different elements and the negative space that they create.

“Phenomenon” is a visual representation of consciousness. It refers to the idea that the mind is an enclosed sphere surrounded by ideas. “Phenomenon” encourages the audience to start conversations about physical presence, appearances, and what we feel is truly real.
