“Stone Age” is a testament to the Greeks and Romans. This was the time when the first known attempts by man were made to create beauty from stone. Today the works that quickly come to mind include Venus de Milo and the columns of Greece. That age of stone is honored in this piece of marble that is shaped in a columnar style and polished to high degree creating the smoothest of surfaces. The concrete base adds to the representation of the ancient Greek temples.
