Terry Karpowicz takes us in a new direction with “Petite Passe.” This new series he explores has evolved from a body of work that involved interlocking rings, or “globes.” The geometric form has taken on a figurative expression that holds endless possibilities and has been a great source of joy for Karpowicz.

A Fulbright-Hayes Fellowship allowed Terry Karpowicz to study the technical and mechanical aspects of the United Kingdom’s medieval wind and water mills. The craftsmanship developed at that time has been evident in all of his work, whether working with wood, granite, steel, river rock or all of these combined. His commitment to public art is exemplary. Karpowicz has exhibited throughout the U.S., Mexico and Russia.
