Micki LeMieux wants us to broaden our concept of “man’s place in the world.” This is critical to our understanding of our fragile future. By exploring and working with organic forms, she is able to illustrate how we are entwined with nature. The organic forms in “Connectors” are rising spontaneously from the ground. The anthromorphic sense of these forms is from within the apparent design of nature, in which everything is connected and has a purpose. These are the building blocks that shape growth, a dawn in which to celebrate creativity and life.

Micki was born and raised in Chicago. Her involvement in “Suite Home Chicago” sparked her interest in outdoor public sculpture. Her work has been shown throughout the U.S.
