Goldstrom has lived and worked as a professional sculptor in Chicago for 10 years. A graduate of The School of the Art Institute, she taught sculpture there for three and a half years. Building large scale sculptures for other artists encouraged her to invest in and create her own works. Her works have been shown throughout the Midwest.
Michele has created red blood cells that illustrate different environments or landscapes; urban, rural, suburban, estate and bungalow. Blood cells travel through our bodies in much the same way we travel through life. Our environments inform who we are, how we live and where we proceed. The viewer here is challenged to reflect on their own personal journey and to consider how that environment has been an influence.
