Michael Brown loves the challenge of creating large-scale, public art. His use of stone is another challenge. The architectural detailing of the material urges the viewer to step up to the piece and explore, but it is the overall design that draws us in the first place. By creating a welcoming atmosphere Michael encourages us to come closer and really see the stone.
Michael has exhibited his work extensively throughout the U.S. He recently retired as a professor of art to devote himself to full time sculpting.
