John Adduci prefers to let his sculptures speak for themselves. He describes each of his works in the briefest of terms. This applies to works that are cloaked in irony as well as pieces that jump out and say, here I am. With “Wishbone”, Adduci employs his trademark ground aluminum to create a figure with two pieces that are joined which appears to be in movement. Is it being pulled apart? Will the wish come true? The sponsor certainly hopes so.

John Adduci is an internationally recognized artist who utilizes the fluidity of metal to explore unexpected interpretations of familiar forms. Born in Chicago, he has been working from his Chicago studio in Old Town for more than 30 years.
