With an interest in social and urban geography, Jennifer Dickson focuses on the use of space, and how it is produced and experienced in everyday lives. She has again created a work which reflects a keen awareness of karma and calls for us to make our own zen.
While recently in Japan and considering a move there, she became aware that she was experiencing a feeling of being set adrift. As though untethering from her certain location created an almost separate person.
“Traveler” represents the dual properties of our humanity – spiritual and physical – and their potential detachments.
