Andrew Arvanetes began producing sculptures in 1987. His work is included in numerous private and public collections including the University of Northern Iowa, the City of Dallas, the University of Alabama, and the University of Wisconsin.

Arvanetes’ works are narrative in nature and employ a vocabulary of architecture and mechanics to describe a vision forged from the imagination and cast with optimism; implying a future where mechanical objects can be both bizarre and beautiful. “Twist and Shout,” the newest character from Arvanetes’ universe, is a stainless steel figure that looks as likely to shimmy as it does shine.
