Ted Sitting Crow Garner is an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux Indian Tribe, of the Sihasapa and Miniconjou descent. Garner earned his BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1982. While there he founded the school’s first formal student gallery. Garner’s artwork can be found in numerous public and private collections across the United States and Canada and has earned him many prizes and support in the form of fellowships and grants.

“Magoo – For Lord Buckley” is a tribute to Lord Richard Myrtle Buckley. Buckley was a philosopher, hipster, and comedian who influenced everyone from Lenny Bruce to Robin Williams and Frank Zappa.
