Yost has long been interested in geometric and organic elements. Specifically creating sculptures that are geometric, machine-like, industrial forms and that interact visually and aesthetically in functional use. An Illinois native, he received a MFA from Northern Illinois University. His works have been included in exhibitions throughout the Midwest and are included in many permanent, private collections.

Charles has created a work that embodies geometric forms while providing an important message with a sense of humor. The grand scale is intended to highlight the important presence of the 2008 election. The process is bigger than all of us but not more important than any one of us.
