Shen Cheng Xu makes the human figure a constant in his work. Incorporating figurative art in the contemporary age is his passion. His work is the embodiment of East meets West, recognizing his own history. Shen Cheng compares his focus to the musician who can make many sounds out of a single note. His ability to put a human vitality into an organic form reminds us all of the magic of the universe. The fine craftsmanship imbues his work with a particularly enchanting experience.

Shen Cheng made his first appearance with LSE in 2004. Shen Cheng completed over a dozen monumental pieces in China before arriving in the States. He is a teacher at Northeastern Illinois University.
