Nathan Pierce creates abstract work in the hope that it will spark the imagination of the viewer and emphasize how important it is to constantly be communicating. That could mean communication in the form of dialog with others or it could mean communicating with yourself to continue to learn about who you are and discover new things in the world around you. Pierce’s work deals with both the building up and breaking down of communication.

“Don’t Forget Us” addresses some personal issues Pierce has concerning communication in a social context. Specifically he is trying to show the importance of communication within relationships. It reminds us that whether or not we realize it or choose to acknowledge it, we all play a role in the lives of those around us.
