LeMieux continues her work with organic forms, illustrating various designs that entwine us with nature. It’s obvious that she is interested in microscopic forms and organisms. Volvox Colony is a glimpse into the marine world of phytoplankton, an organism that is made up of individual parts that act as one. Marine plankton is similar to land-dwelling plants in that it draws out the greenhouse gas, carbon dioxide out of sea and stores it deep on the ocean floor.

Micki has created sculptures and specialty props for the theater and opera community since 1991. She began consistently exhibiting her own artwork 10 years ago. She is drawn to outdoor artworks due to the natural setting and continued connections of man in nature.
