George Tobolowsky has long been known around the Dallas, Texas area as an attorney, businessman, collector and supporter of the arts. Less than 10 years ago, he surprised the community with his first solo show. He has never looked back.

Using metal “scraps” he recognizes their former place in the world and honors their history. Tobolowsky studies the metals and knows their lineage. He has a keen sense of place and keeps the pieces that he finds relatively close to how they were assembled. “Child’s Play” incorporates all of the vagaries of found objects; color, size and shape that, in another’s hand, would be a simple jumble. In this case, it’s a very talented man who still shares the heart of a child.
