Evan Lewis has exhibited works throughout the country in a variety of locations and to all levels of public exposure, including several exceptionally windswept pieces prominently featured in the motion picture “Twister”. A Santa Barbara, California native, Lewis received his BFA in sculpture from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago and has been featured frequently throughout the Chicagoland area.

Lewis’ piece for this show, “All A Flutter” employs wind as well as its own weight to create one of Lewis’ signature elements, movement. “All A Flutter” is part elegant machine, part dynamic work of art. Placed in a densely populated Chicago neighborhood, the piece is in constant, though occasionally imperceptible, motion. Echoing as well as influencing its environment.
