“Bi-Polar, Apparition Attack – Formus Interruptus” exemplifies Charles Yost’s continued use of both geometric and organic elements. The curved lines and organic shapes next to the harder edged forms work together and flatter each other. These elements of Yost’s piece are evident in much of his work. His work often explores the observation and comparison of geometric and industrial forms and how, in their functional use, they relate visually and aesthetically.

Another important element of “Bi-Polar, Apparition Attack – Formus Interruptus” is how the viewer interacts and connects with the sculpture. Yost encourages the viewer to rearrange the design by placing and observing the sculpture on either pole.
