LOCATION: Diversey and Inner Lake Shore Drive (Diversey Harbor)

SIZE: 3’ 8” x 14’ 8” x

MATERIALS: steel & concrete

SPONSOR: Alderman Tom Tunney

Hehemann co-owns Vector Custom Fabricating, which was opened shortly after he received a MFA from the University of Illinois. His interest and skills in engineering contribute to the long term success of Vector and his own works in stone, concrete, steel and stainless steel. His works are included in many exhibitions and are on permanent display nationally.

Barry brings his ninth in a series of sculptural benches to this show. His benches explore spacial relationships in materials. Bench 9 employs steel pipe in the support of cast concrete shapes. The twisting and intricate aggregate of forms induce you to explore the piece in full. Enjoy the balance of comfort and stability with the aesthetics of form.
